31 week update

So here I am in all my glory... feeling rather large now! It seems that my bump has all of a sudden popped!!

Weeks: 31

Total weight gain: I have no idea... I refuse to see!

My body: No stretch marks as of yet (I say this but whats the betting I find some this week!) I'm in constant discomfort due to SPD in my hips and I'm having an increasing amount of back pain :( I guess its all part of it though and well I have come this far and I only have 9 weeks left to go!

Maternity clothes: I haven't bought anything new lately, just sticking with my three pairs of maternity trousers from Next and leggings! Still fit into most tops with a bit of a squeeze! But I'm one of these people who refuse to spend lots of money on maternity clothes!!

Cravings: Nothing in particular, but as its Easter I have bee slightly indulging in chocolate!!!

Baby items bought/received: Got some breast pads! woop! Also this week I finally ordered baby b's cot, which will hopefully be delivered tomorrow! Other than that this week has been quite quiet on the shopping front!

Things to look forward to: As I previously said baby b's cot should arrive tomorrow, so once the Other Half has put it together baby's room will be almost done!!

Worries: That from now till due date I will not sleep well, pains in hips and backs have increased and my sleep is starting to suffer from that! But other than that I'm not worrying yet!

Ok so that was my 31 week update, I will do these each week till I "pop", I hope you like :)

BabyBump app Review

So when the "Pregnant" sign flashed up on my pregnancy test, my immediate thought was "ok, Yay, I'm happy but what the hell happens now!!" So as with most things I thought there must be an app for this!! And I stumbled across an app known as BabyBump!

Its a wonderful app, and has been truly helpful through all stages of my pregnancy! Each day that you are pregnant it will give you useful hints and tips and also weekly updates that tell you what is happening to you and your baby!

Now for the best part of this app... Its community!! This app comes with various forums that you can join in on. This app is mainly popular with Americans however there are various UK forums which I have been more inclined to join. The UK forums are full of wonderful first time mummys (FTM- like myself) and also second, third... etc, all there to offer advise and support! I have never felt stupid posting a question on there because, guess what... someone else is probably wondering the same! Luckily most of the users are highly supportive and have yet to have any negative comments come my way... HOWEVER be warned if your brave enough to wonder over to other forums like "Rants and Raves" alot of hormonal very emotive women post there and well it can get nasty!! But remember if you stick to the smaller forums and perhaps in my experience the UK forums its a wonderful environment for women to learn and enjoy there pregnancy and motherhood together!

Interested?! Well why not give this app ago... there is a free version which I currently use and its great!! To upgrade to the full version which includes a "kick counter" and "Contraction tracker" its only £2.49 on the iphone!

Go on give it a go...

Welcome

Hello all!!

I am very much new to all this blogging malarkey, but have been a fan of reading blogs for a couple of years now. So when in October 2011 me and my other half found out we were expecting our first child, I thought this may be the ideal opportunity to explore this cyber blogging world!!

You will have to forgive me for any errors I make... I'm slightly backwards when it comes to anything too technical! But I will try my hardest to make this an enjoyable but informative blog!

So more about me...

I'm currently 31 weeks pregnant and we are expecting a little girl! So far this pregnancy has been... well... interesting! I think i have had about every "side effect" going during these last 31 weeks, so I'm well and truly looking forward to having my little girl here!

I'm also a working mummy! (Much to most of my friends disgust) My career is working towards becoming a secondary school teacher (currently I work in my local high school as a "Cover Supervisor") but baby has put these plans on hold for now, which I'm more than happy with as I have all the time in the world to reach my career goals!!

So enough of my babbling, I'm sure as this journey goes on you will get to learn lots about me!!
