A Day Of Mishaps!

When I woke this morning to a very cuddly little girl, I planned out our whole day together in  my head. A nice breakfast followed by a walk, a little shop, feed the ducks, play on the swing and then lunch out.

So they day started off well, playing in the morning and breaky, we got dressed the sun was shining all was left was to get Darcie into the pushchair ready for our walk.

But the pushchair was nowhere to be found!!

Turns out our pushchair is in Jamie's car and Jamie is at work... DOH!!! Determend for my plans to still go ahead I tried to fish out Darcie's carrier hoping she would still fit in it... and she did! However I hadn't even made it out of the door and my back was already aching! SO that idea was soon abandoned!

I was so stressed and annoyed with myself that this had happened AGAIN, I even tried to make my own scarf carrier!!

However nothing worked and I was faced with wasting this gorgeous day indoors. At this point my Dad called, and it was clear that I was miffed off so he asked what was up. I told him my "problem" and he laughed. He soon then popped round and took me to a local second hand place to pick up a spare pushchair so this wouldn't keep happening! I managed to get an Oyster Babystyle in Pearl for £70!

I have been very impressed with the pushchair so far, it has some really lovely features. I also discovered that I can change the colours too for a quite a cheap price!

Anyway, once I had the pushchair my original plan could go ahead! But whilst this was going on, my friend Lou was texting me and we decided to spend the afternoon mooching around town, have lunch at Amandines and then take Darcie to the park.

Amandines is a gorgeous Cafe in my town, they have amazing fruit smoothies that I can never resist!

On our trip, we also stopped by Superdrug and I got a couple of bits...

So what started out like it was going to be a bad day, soon changed to a gorgeous day!!

Beauty Wish List

I am slightly, just slightly, obsessed with all things beauty. Something that I haven't really talked about much on here, but I love reading beauty blogs and thought considering the title of this blog includes "all things pretty" here are my pretty things I am currently lusting over....

1) Illamasqua nail varnish in Lament, £13.50 available HERE. This is such a gorgeous pinky coral, I keep seeing it around and I am most certainly lusting over it.

2) Real Techniques brushes The Core Collection, £21.99 available HERE. I'm ashamed to admit that I don't own that many make-up brushes and so I think this will be the perfect set to expand a little further!

3) Benefit They're Real mascara, £19.50 available HERE. I LOVE Benefits Bad Lash so I really want to see if all the hype about this product is worth it!

4) Urban Decay's Naked Basics palette, £20.00 available HERE. I have the Naked palette already and its amazing so really this product is a no brainer.

5) Liz Earle Clense & Polish starter kit, £14.75 available HERE. I really want this... so badly....

6) Origins GinZing Refreshing eye cream, £21.00 available HERE. Since having Darcie I have really noticed that around my eyes need a helping hand, I have herd wonderful things about this product and really want to give it a whirl!

7) Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray, £9.00 30ml available HERE. I have noticed that my make-up sometimes doesn't last all day, and would like to give this a go!

8)Tangle Teezer, Pink, £10.99 available HERE. My hair suffers big time, I'm a fan of the messy bun so my hair sometimes requires a good de-tangle!!

9) Nails Inc York Feather Effect Nail Polish, £11.00 available HERE. This looks amazing! Such a pretty colour too.

What are you guys lusting over right now??

Things I am loving - April

I love reading these kinds of posts, so thought I would join in and share what I have been loving recently...

Broadchurch - This show is amazing. I have been late on the bandwagon, but a couple of friends recommended the show so when I was ill I watched six episodes back to back... I was hooked from the first 10 minuets! Its an ITV drama starring David Tennant and Olivia Colman surrounding a death of a boy called Danny. My theory is Tom's Dad is the killer... What's your theories?!?!

Wedding Planning - Bizarrely I have found it, so far, stress free!

Pinterest -  I can't imagine there would ever be a day where I wouldn't look at Pinterest. I am a true addict.

Music - Perhaps a strange one, but obviously I have always loved listening to music however sometimes I just never have the time to listen to anything and discover anything new! Today at work (I work in a school) we had Robbie Boyd come and perform and this evening I have sat listening to his music. I LOVE IT! Check out his YouTube channel HERE  my favourite is "When I believe". If you like music like Munford and Sons you will love him. He is an up and coming musician and made MTV's top 20 unsigned bands for 2013!

The Warmer Weather - Its amazing what the sun can do, it instantly lifts my spirits, loving the longer days too being able to take Darcie to the park after work has been lovely.

What have you been loving lately?

Wedding update - Venue

On Saturday we went to look at a potential venue and I fell in love. Its a beautiful Barn, and it is the perfect size and style for us!! We have provisionally booked, just have to confirm the registrars (when I rang two days ago they had plenty of availability for that day) and fingers crossed the venue will be ours!

So happy!

Little Tikes Activity Garden Play Centre - Review

I was recently sent the Little Tikes Activity Garden Play Centre to review, and I have to admit I have been pleasantly surprised!

This play centre is designed for babies from 6 months+ and gives them a head start by encouraging them to explore and even encourage crawling. The centre itself can be arranged in one of two ways, one as enclosed play area or two as a crawl through obstacle course...

We have ours as the crawl through obstacle course to test her new found crawling skills!

Now despite that Darcie can crawl very well she can't quite work out how to go through the tummy slide section, my daughter is a little large for her age and so I think this makes it difficult!
The activities on offer Darcie has really enjoyed, she particularly loves the Telephone and clock section...

Another great point to this particular section is that it can be removed for on the go play!

Overall I have been very happy with this product and can't think of any real faults. My only issue (and its no real biggie) is that it won't last Darcie very long as she will soon grow out of it, she tries to pull herself up on it and it isn't designed for that, for the time being though its a big hit in our household! I wish I had known about this toy earlier!!

This is currently available at ARGOS £69.99, Argos has been my go to store for Darcie bits lately, they have such a great range for kiddies  Argos also sell a great range of ride ons and also have a good range of go karts in their outdoor toys range for the bigger kiddies!

Saturday 6th April - Africa Alive

Today, was another lovely day with my little family and friends and what's more the sun was shining!!!

We spent the day at a local zoo called Africa Alive with two lovely friends Sam and Christie and there very gorgeous son Harry. I love Zoo's and it was nice to see Darcie taking more of an interest than the last time we went. Now unfortunatly I did a really stupid thing which I have done twice now, bring my Cannon but then forget my two SD memory cards.... GRRR!! So Here are a few snaps from the day from my phone...

Such a lovely day, Darcie and Harry I think secretly really liked each other... best start saving hey?!

Friday 5th April - Wedding Update

NOTE: This post was supposed to be posted on Friday... But this weekend just flew past me so I'm taking this Sunday evening to catch up... So please forgive!!!

So as you may know if you read my post's religiously I went wedding dress shopping with my Mum on Tuesday..... and.... it was a success!

Now obviously I don't want to give too much away as I know Jamie reads these! But the whole experience was utterly amazing! I went to our local city, Norwich, and went to a shop recommended by quite a few people, Pure. I had a lovely lady called Gemma serve me and she made me completely at ease, advising me on different styles that would suit my figure. I picked out eight to try. The first one I tried was mine and my Mum's favourite to begin with, and it was beautiful but the skirt was fairly full and I was worried it would be a little too large! Then the second one came, and I popped it on and I was instantly in love. I got rather emotional as this was the dress I had imagined me in, but I never thought in a million years that it would suit my curvy figure, but it did!!!

So even though I had decided that this was indeed the dress I tried on three more, and it just confirmed to me that the second one was THE dress.

So my lovely Mother, put down the deposit!!!!

Thank you Mummy, I will always be so very grateful that you got me my dream dress, love you lots!!

Darcie 10 Months Old Today

Another month has zoomed by, I can't believe in exactly two months I will have a one year old!!!

So lets go through the updates...

Crawling: Darcie has fully mastered crawling this month, as I said last month, I truly thought she would skip this altogether! Its lovely to see her speeding around exploring different areas.

Walking: This month we saw Darcie take her first independent steps! Tears where secretly had! She still has a long way to go, she LOVES to be on her feet, has done since she was about four months so its really no surprise that she is keen to get walking. For now she is happy holding on one handed and every now and then taking a couple of independent steps :)

Words: This month has been about MAMMA!!! That's all I hear all day long. The only new word we have herd is something which we are pretty sure is "Bird". We were coming out of the car into the house when Darcie looked up to the sky and pointed to lots of birds and went "brrrrris", me and Jamie just looked at each other in shock!

Everything Else: Darcie has started pointing to everything, especially when we read books, its very sweet! Climbing the stairs, apparently, I say apparently because I haven't witnessed it myself! This is something she likes to do at nursery!

Here are some snaps from this afternoon...

Love you my beautiful girl

Wedding Wants #1

So any spare time that I have I am sat dreaming about mine and Jamie's wedding. I am really hoping to get married next summer, unsure on the location at the moment but I already have so many ideas buzzing around my head.

Tomorrow I am off with my Mum to look at dresses, and I am just sooo excited. I think that tomorrow will be the start of our big adventure!

My Inspiration for the day, outside as much as possible, soft lighting, and a very much relaxed event.

Wish me luck
