Tip's for Bath Time

Bathing a baby may seem like a daunting task when you're a new parent. They're precious little bundles and bathing them may seem a big deal, but really it can be a beautiful experience and is perfect time for bonding with your little ones. Now Henry is older, bathing both Darcie and Henry has become a lot less of a juggle and more enjoyable.

Here are a few tips that make bathing a baby/toddler a little more of a breeze.

1. Water is fun (though remember to be safe!) and it's good to encourage this. Let them splash, playing with water coming out of the taps.

2. Bath Toys!  Our kids love them, rubber ducks, letters, even bath crayons are all fantastic fun for bath times.

3. Get them washed first so they can then play and relax. Sometimes if I'm doing bath time on my own, I will pop Darcie in first get her washed whilst Henry plays with some toys on the bathroom floor. I then pop him in once her hair has been washed so I have both hands free for my mischievous boy.

4. Be organised. Make sure all towels, products are at hand. You can't leave them unattended to fetch something you've left/placed elsewhere and on the odd occasion where I have forgotten a towel, carrying a wet baby drenched you!!

As well as this, ensure you're using high-quality products for your little ones. My recent favourites are from Skinfix. A collect which is free of steroids, nuts, fragrance, soy, gluten, parabens and phthalates and is both Dermatologist recommended and Pediatrician tested. We particularly love the Gentle Hair & Body Wash, the Gentle Lotion & Gentle Eczema Balm. The balm has been amazing on Darcie who suffers with eczema, I have also been pinching it too. It's even made my skin silky smooth, so it really is perfect for the whole family.

Along with bath time, we continue the fun through baby massage. The benefits of which are amazing and have written about here.

Do you have any bath time tips?
