A Wellie Walk around Southwold

This Sunday a walk on the beach to blow away the cobwebs was definitely needed. It has been a long and hard month this November and it was good to take stock with the little ones and big one (aka Jamie, my husband). It was such a glorious sunny crisp day, perfect for finding treasures and eating chips (and hot chocolate).

Southwold has and probably always will be a place that's close to my heart. I love everything about it's very English charm - it never seems to disappoint. Whether rain or shine we always make wonderful memories here (plus it's only a 30 min car journey).

When we arrived we decided to do a spot of adventuring first, combing the beach for hidden treasures. We were wearing our gorgeous wellies by Crocs, which were perfect for winter walks along the beach because they're so comfy and lightweight.

The light was gorgeous on Sunday and I couldn't help but go a little camera happy. They were too many gorgeous shots too be taken!

After getting a bit windswept, it was time to head to the town and we stopped off at Harris and James, which are known for their fresh Gelatto and also their amazing chocolate. Seeing as it was a bit cold for Gelato, we opted for a glorious hot chocolate. The kids had children Blackforrest flavoured whilst I went for Caramel. I kid you not, the children downed theirs in 2.5 seconds! It was heavenly. I choose to saviour mine for a tad longer though.

After warming up over a brew we headed into town for a mooch around the shops. Shopping in Southwold is such a lovely and relaxing experience and feels so festive at this time of year. We treated Darcie to a nice shiny hat that compliments her bootiful (see what I did there) pink Croc Wellies.

Finally, no trip to the beach would ever be complete without some Fish and Chips and we always go to the same place The Little Fish and Chip Shop - if you ever visit Southwold this chip shop is a must. Its a gorgeous little place and the food is so fresh and just heavenly.

Many thanks for Crocs, for kitting us out with our lovely wellies, you can see their full range here.
