Work With Me: Collaboration Terms

I welcome enquiries from brands, businesses and outreach agencies interested in working with Mummy Burgess.

I particularly enjoy collaborations that complement my content on parenting, family lifestyle, travel, seasonal living, creativity and mindful living. Every collaboration is considered individually to ensure it is relevant to my readers.

Guest posts

Guest posts are articles supplied by a brand, business or outreach representative.

Articles should normally contain at least 600 words and offer useful, relevant information.
Content must be original, accurate and supplied with permission to publish it.
Up to two agreed commercial links to the same domain may be included. Additional domains or placements require a separate quote.
I reserve the right to edit submissions for clarity, accuracy, tone and suitability, or decline content that does not meet my standards.

Link placements and resource updates

Relevant links may be added to suitable existing articles following editorial review.

The destination page and proposed wording must be approved before publication.
Links must add value to the article and be relevant to its subject.
Payment does not guarantee acceptance of a particular link or placement.

Content I do not accept

I do not accept adult content, gambling or casino links, CBD promotions, essay-writing services or content that is misleading, unlawful or unsuitable for my audience.

I may decline other topics or websites at my discretion.

Advertising disclosure and links

Transparency with my readers is essential.

Paid articles and placements will be clearly identified as advertising, using an appropriate disclosure such as “Ad” or “Collaborative Post”. Gifted products, experiences and affiliate relationships will also be disclosed where applicable.

Approval and publication

All content and links are subject to approval by Kay Burgess.

Publication dates are agreed individually once the brief, content and necessary materials have been received. Social media promotion is not included unless confirmed in writing.

I do not guarantee search rankings, indexing, traffic, enquiries or sales.

Payment terms

Payment is due within 30 calendar days of the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing before work begins.

Please provide the correct billing name, address, invoice email and any required purchase order details before publication.

Late Payments will be subject to a 10% Late Payment Fee, which will be added to the invoice every 7 days. I reserve the right to remove posts for late payment; invoices will still need to be paid.

New work may be paused while an invoice remains overdue.

Changes and cancellation

Please check all approved copy, destination URLs and brand details carefully before publication.

Additional changes outside the agreed brief, including changes requested after approval or publication, may incur a fee. Any additional charge will be confirmed before the work is carried out. Errors introduced by me will be corrected without charge.

If a collaboration is cancelled after work has begun, a reasonable charge may apply for work already completed, up to the agreed total fee.

Once agreed work has been published, a subsequent request to remove the article or its links does not automatically cancel the amount owed.

How long content remains online

Posts and link placements are intended to remain live for the lifetime of the relevant content on Mummy Burgess.

However, I cannot guarantee indefinite publication. Content or links may need to be updated or removed if they become inaccurate, misleading, unsafe, unlawful or unsuitable, or if the website closes.

Content ownership

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, I retain copyright in the text and original images I create. Republishing that material or using it in paid advertising requires separate permission.

Clients supplying articles, photographs or other materials must have the necessary rights and grant permission for their publication on Mummy Burgess.

Working directly with me

Please contact me directly to discuss a collaboration. My website must not be added to public publisher lists, link-selling databases or third-party marketplaces without my written permission.

The scope, price and applicable terms will be confirmed by email before work begins. Any changes to these terms for an individual collaboration must be agreed in writing.
