Beautiful Watch Straps for my Apple Watch | Review - Watch Strap Company

Today's post is a review of some of the most fabulous straps from the Watch Strap Company (WsC) which were kindly gifted to me. This year I decided to treat myself to the new Apple Watch Series 7,  I had never had an apple watch and wanted an upgrade from my FitBit. Being an Apple lover, I knew I wouldn't be disappointed and I'm so glad I made the switch. I soon learned how easy it was to switch up the straps, which is perfect if you're using your watch for different purposes like sports or wanting to dress up for the evening (and still get those steps in!). With so many different watch straps these days it can be hard to know which one to get. Whether buying directly from Apple themselves, or from the hundreds of brands offering accessories for Apple products, it can be a minefield trying to navigate your way through.

Spring Jewellery for a Busy Mum

If you know me personally you will know that I'm never without my jewellery. This love of jewellery was embedded from an early age through my very dear Nan. My nan had the BEST jewellery, many of which I inherited when she sadly passed away. I would remember going into her bedroom and running my little hands over her pearls, charm bracelets and many rings and she would talk me through everyone, what they were made from and the meaning behind them. My passion for finding beautiful pieces has continued through my 20s and 30s, trying to find sustainable pieces that are beautiful but hard-wearing for a busy mum who is also an art teacher (lots of mess and lots of handwashing - you can see why they need to be hard-wearing!) is often hard to find, especially if you are looking for affordability too.

Showcasing Memories with Inkifi

When Inkifi reached out and asked if I would be interested in reviewing their Moments frame, I immediately said yes. I had been looking to update some of the photos around our home and was also looking for potential gifts for upcoming birthdays so this seemed like the perfect opportunity.

Fresh Faced + Giveaway

This time last year I was over stressing about turning 30 - this year I'm completely loving being in my thirties and I'm embracing this period of my life. This year I turn up the notch on my skin care (see my post here) and it's had such an impact on my confidence and I have started to reduce the amount of makeup I wear.

Upcycling Ikea Furniture with Rust-Oleum | Review

Over the Easter weekend, I decided it was time to upcycle my rather tired looking Ikea sideboard and TV unit. I have contemplated getting rid of them and buying new as we have had them for eight years and I thought they may be looking a little too tired. However, I received an email from Rust-Oleum which a press-release of how to upcycle a sideboard. I glanced over the email and couldn't believe how easy it looked- so I got in contact and they kindly sent over a couple of products to help me with my own DIY project.

Falling in Love with The Ordinary

Before I begin this review, I just want to be clear - I'm no skincare blogger. In fact, for a long time, the extent of my skin care shamefully involved scrapping off my makeup with a baby wipe. Mum life got me bad. However, now I'm in the 30's club my skin has become somewhat of a concern. Which is hilarious as we all know what happens when we age! I have always been fairly lucky with my skin, I have never really suffered with spots - but my face is full of freckles and can be sensitive with the changing seasons. Also, those "fine" lines are starting to become even more prominent.

I have been really interested in The Ordinary products for around 18 months, their price point is so appealing and I had seen so many positive reviews. But there was always something that overwhelmed me - the huge choice. The fact you could mix and match to create your perfect skin care routine with some of skin care's most sought after ingredients were perfect for those skin care whizzes. But for me, I was really confused as to what to order! Many products can't be layered together, some cancel out each other's effectiveness. So I decided to actually sit down, do my research and start out small.

Mothers Day 2019

Mother's day will be taking a cruel turn this year when the clocks go back the same weekend - robbing us of our much-deserved rest! However, I'm still planning to have a cheeky lie in and do as little as possible!

Becoming a mum has most definitely been my proudest achievement. The love I have for them, that crazy love, that when the drive me up the wall and I physically want to pull my hair out can instantly disappear with one cheeky smile.

Having children has made me even more thankful to my parents. Having an understanding of the sacrifices they made in order for us to have the experiences we had and now they get to be grandparents to my special two!

Mother's day always seems to make me appreciate so much and it's so nice to be able to honour those amazing woman in our lives.

So, plan something special. Set aside time for them. Whether it's flowers, breakfast in bed or a special trip with a gorgeous hamper in tow - make sure you show them how you feel.

I was lucky enough to be sent a Mothers Day Hamper from Spicers which was filled with delicious sweet treats which would make the perfect gift this Mothers Day.

Food is always the best way to my heart so if I'm lucky to receive something like this I would be incredibly happy! I would love to hear how you will be celebrating Mothers Day this year.

Glam Goo | Review

Did you know it's national slime day today? No, nor did I! I didn't even know slime would constitute its own day - but it does and boy does Darcie LOVE slime!

In order to celebrate Glam Goo very kindly sent us some of their kits to review and when they arrived Darcie just could not contain her excitement! She was itching to rip into them and create her own perfect slime concoction.

A Magic Monday at The Cosy Club

You will all know if you've followed me for the past year that Monday's are my favourite. Since dropping my hours it has literally revolutionised my work/life balance and I'm so thankful I made that choice. My husband and I dubbed it a Magic Monday as both children are at school/nursery and we get to be us for a few hours.

On Monday, we decided to head to Norwich for a mooch around the shops and basically coffee shop hop! It's something we used to do all the time when we were first dating - finding random spots to people watch, chat, daydream and of course, drink coffee (although back then it was pots of tea, I think becoming parents hardened us!).
