Our Halloween 2014

Our Halloween was nice and quiet again this year. If I'm honest I'm not sure how I feel about halloween, I don't like the idea of Trick or Treating - I know strange right?! But knocking on random peoples doors asking for sweets... I just don't feel comfortable doing that! So, instead I have decided to take the stance that we do get involved, but its something nice we do for our neighbours by giving them treats.

We spent the morning carving pumpkins, Darcie liked to scrap the seeds and mulch out which me and Daddy carved!

Darcie had been so excited for "making" pumpkins, ever since we picked ours up a few days ago! She kept asking to make them scary and also decided we needed to make one a cat...

We added red food colouring to the "scary" pumpkin to add extra spookiness! I think Jamie was rather chuffed with his creation.

In the afternoon we decided to roast our pumpkin seeds we had collected and add sugar and cinnamon for a little treat. I had no idea how they we turn our but they were absolutely delicious!

Then around 5pm the tick or treaters arrived, Darcie was not really sure what to make of our guests, but was happy enough to dish out the sweets!

How did you spend Halloween this year?
