5 Ways to make Your Home Décor a Little More Luxurious

It’s easy to become bored with our home design, especially if you spend your time reading interior decorating magazines or watching Grand Designs. Luckily, achieving the designs of your dreams doesn’t need to be difficult; even the smallest of touches can make a big difference.

If you’re looking to upgrade your interiors, then here are five budget friendly solutions to get you started.

High Contrast Colours

For a more dramatic look, you should opt for a high contrast colour scheme. The combination of dark hues and blacks with brilliant whites, will give even the plainest of spaces that luxury look. Finding the perfect balance can be tricky, so it’s a good idea to start small. Opt for a feature wall to draw the eye or even just paint your doors black to contrast with white walls.

If you’ve grown bored of paint, then use an elegant wallpaper to add some variety to your feature wall.

Fancy Touches

Adding materials such as marble, hardwood, gold can be a fantastic way to add luxury to your abode. Look outside the box when it comes to the finishing touches to a room and visit antique stores and car boot sales to find intricate little details. If you can find yourself a gilded mirror, these can work wonders for not only adding a little luxury, but making your room look a lot bigger too.

Unique Lighting

When you start to think of lighting as art, you’ll find some fantastic fixtures to turn into features and focal points of a room. Lighting is frequently used in sculpture design, such as the stunning art installation by Mike Stoane Lighting and Ormiston Wire at The Avenues Mall, Kuwait, and while something to this scale probably isn’t suitable for residential properties, intricate lighting features can make all the difference.

There are so many options open to you, from ornate chandeliers to exposed bulbs, you’ll be sure to find the perfect fixture to suit any room.

Indoor Plants

Plant life is a great way to inject some life and luxury to your interiors. Of course, parenting plant life isn’t for everyone, but luckily you can often achieve the same look with artificial items.

If you do choose to go with the real deal however, you’re going to want to make sure what you buy is safe for any pets you share your home with. Do your research to discover the foliage that is friendly to our four-legged friends.

Water Features

There’s no need to stick to interior décor either, you can upgrade your home by making garden improvements too. Water features not only help to introduce luxury to your home, but they can encourage wildlife visitors to make the most of your garden too.

Adding a water feature can be just the finishing touch your garden needs.
