How is it, that in one month time my baby boy will be one? I just can’t deal with how quickly time has gone by, there are times where I have found myself on the verge of tears because my baby is now entering toddlerhood. As we know that Henry is our last, I think I’m feeling even more emotional than I did when Darcie was about to turn one. I have previously written about how Henry is our last baby, but I still feel like I’m clinging on to the baby days – which are running out fast. I have to keep reminding myself that I should be celebrating all milestones, instead of feeling sadness that my baby boy is growing so fast.
So, what has Henry been up to lately? Well, as you may have seen from my Instagram feed he can now stand independently and doesn’t need to pull himself up to stand anymore. He only did this a couple of days ago and has been doing it non-stop since he worked out how to do it! Every time he does it, he looks over to make sure you’re looking and gives the biggest grin. It’s pretty adorable! With this, he has also taken one (very wobbly) step! I have a feeling he may be walking before his first birthday.
With him seemingly becoming more and more confident on his feet we got him his first pair of shoes. He’s a whopping size 5 already!! He hasn’t worn them much mind, but I’m sure as they day’s get colder he’ll get more use out of them – unless his feet grow too darn quick!
His top two teeth have come through and his top third and fourth tooth are now peeping through too. Again, he’s been struggling with teething. Sleepless night, temperatures, dribbling and a runny nose – This is something I’ll happily miss! I hate seeing him in pain and miserable.
We are still breastfeeding. I always said I wanted to reach the year mark but I can’t see us stopping in a months time – I don’t feel he’s ready yet. I will do a post on this in the coming weeks to discuss our breastfeeding journey so far.
So for now, I will cheerish my last baby moments. For in a months time we will have a toddler.
Make sure you pop back soon to see Birthday themed posts!
