6-9 Month Haul
Ok so on Sunday Jamie said to me I think we need to start stocking up on the next size of clothes for Darcie as her current clothes are starting to become a little bit small...
Fatal mistake Mr Burgess!!!
So when he had trotted off to work I got the Laptop out and headed straight to the NEXT website. As I have previously said I LOVE there clothes for babies, and are such good quality so I went a little bit clicky happy and soon my basket was up to £250!! Thinking Jamie might murder me in the night at that price I soon got it down to £130 (reluctantly... A completely crazy price I know for something that is going to last a few months but it was on credit, so its not real money... that's what I tell myself lol)!
Oh my goodness, now its all laid out it looks a ridiculous amount!! BUT when they move up a size you have to buy them a whole new wardrobe again! (And you have to do it lots of times!!!)
Here are my favourites from this haul...
So even though our bank balance has taken a hit... she is all worth it!
Though I think next time I will check out ebay first!!
You live and learn as they say :)

Our Little Lady
Lady is my fur baby, in the shape of a golden Labrador. She is about two and a half (we think) and really is the perfect little doggy.
When we first bought our home in June 2011, I knew I wanted a dog. Jamie wasn't so keen on the idea. We both have grown up with dogs, and I knew that this is something I wanted for future children. So when we moved in I set about to plague Jamie... I constantly looked on websites looking into different breeds as originally I wanted a puppy. Jamie said no over and over again, until one day a caught him looking on our local Dogs Trust website. He was of the mind that rather than spending hundreds of pounds on a puppy, we could give a home to a rescue dog. He liked the idea of a grey hound, I wasn't so keen but saw my opportunity and took it! The following day we took a drive to the centre. There was loads of dogs, all different breeds there was even some spring/collie cross puppies! All of the dogs were lovely and it was hard to see why anyone wouldn't have wanted them.
Then I saw Lady. She was in a kennel with three other dogs, all who were barking like crazy, lady on the other hand was just wagging her tail! I immediately said to Jamie "I want that one" (in that stupid little Britain voice), Jamie too seemed keen. We read her little fact sheet, and it said she knew some of the basic commands, toilet trained, good with children but hated cats!!
We asked an assistant for more information and she told us that Lady had come over from Ireland and that's all she knew! We then asked if we could walk her, and she was a complete joy, full of beans and such a happy little lady!
When we came back for our walk we decided to go through the adoption process, and so we were given some information and some forms to fill out. We also had an almost interview to see if we would be compatible with lady. The whole adoption process took about two weeks. We had to have a home visit to check we had an enclosed garden etc, and we also had to visit lady two more times and take her for walks. Lady also had to be spaded, as this was another of the Dogs Trusts policies and so that took some time too.
But the day finally came and we got to take her home, we "Donated" £95 which covered her for all her costs and off we went! She was very curious, and didn't know how to get in the car, which was rather amusing, but as soon as she was in she settled instantly.
Once home we let he explore the garden, and then in the house, we let her explore everywhere. On the first day she was completely zonked and fell asleep on her bed in the evening. Later on when it was time for bed she followed us upstairs, and climbed into bed with us... We laid a blanket at the bottom of the bed and that's where she has slept ever since, which is nice when Jamie is on a night shift!
It soon became obvious that something wasn't quite right, she was constantly itching! It turned out that lady suffered from hay fever! So we now have to be extra careful in the summer with exposure to certain Grass and pollen and have to rub her down with a damp towel after walks!
When I found out I was expecting Darcie, I was quite nervous as to how Lady would react. She had already become such a big part of our little family that I didn't want her to feel pushed out! I went through a very sicky phase in my pregnancy, and each time My head was down the loo, Lady was right by my side.
(Looking after me whilst pregnant)
And then once Darcie was here, she adjusted really well, welcoming Darcie with a kiss!
Darcie is starting to take a real liking to Lady, Laughing at her, trying to stroke and kiss her, Its lovely to see.
So this is my other Little Lady and I thought I would share.

Nail Polish Friday
Do you like my unoriginal title for this blog post?!
I decided that my nail varnish posts will be every Friday and I worked out if I did a post on every single varnish I own I could do a weekly post till February 2014!
This weeks Polish is No. 7 So Simple.
This is the perfect nude, and is one of my favourite nudes in my collection. I love the brushes on these polishes as they are quite flat and so are very easy to apply. The varnish is quite sheer needing three coats to get that opaque glossy finish. I do find this polish take's a while to dry, and sometimes when you think its dry its not and then little prints are left. This is my only criticism.
I teamed mine with my Barry M Rose Quartz glitter (which is soon becoming my favourite glitter polish!!) and I LOVE the end result.
What's your favourite nude??

A Homey Haul
In my last post I mentioned that we took a trip to The Range and Next at Home, we were looking to make the downstairs a little more cosy as we still haven't really decorated! Main reason for not decorating downstairs is that I just keep changing my mind!
Anyway I thought I would share with you some of our purchases as I myself love to read or watch hauls on YouTube.
So first up is this door mat from Next for £35. It has a Stag design on it which I'm so obsessed with! I have quite a few pieces with stags on...
Next up is another Stag piece from Next, its a gorgeous cushion which is actually from there Christmas range! It is priced at £12.
I got a couple more cushions for our sofa (its looked so bare and uninviting) this one is from The Range and I think was £8.
Another cushion from Next, priced at £14 was Jamie's choice.
And the final look...
I added my jar of conkers to my sideboard, see the other stag influences here...
Lastly is this Candle holder from The Range priced at £3.99
Final look (sideboard from Ikea)
Now the evenings are much more cosey in my stark living room!!!

A Walk In The Wood's
Today was another lovely Autumnal day. Jamie had the day off and asked what I fancied doing and so we decided to take a trip to Norwich and walk around Mousehold Heath.
Mousehold Heath is a large woodland and heath area in the City of Norwich. Its lovely to have a good walk round and Lady (our dog) loves it!
So off we trotted, Me, Jamie, Darcie, Lady and my Mum.
It was a beautiful day, quite chily but soon warmed up when the sun came out!
Here are a few of my favourite piccy's...
After our looong walk, we decided to have a cheeky KFC and then pop into the Range and Next at Home... I think I will do a homey haul in the next couple of days as I have been sprucing up now Autumn is here to make it more cosy!

I Just Can't Resist
Today was spent visiting my Grandma and Grandad, Darcie's Great Grandparents. We had a lovely afternoon and a good old natter.
After visiting them we popped into Asda as there's not one close by so thought I would take a peak at the kiddies clothes. I found these gorgeous little pj's which I really couldn't resist. Our dog is called Lady and mine and Jamie's favourite Disney film is Lady and The Tramp so I just HAD to have them and they were only £6 too!
Hope you have all had a lovely weekend.

A Secret Obsession
I LOVE nail varnishes.
I have a rather large collection that is rapidly expanding. Its something that I don't mind splurging on as (here is my theory) I'm not keen on spending lots of money on clothes at the moment (not that I have hardly any money being on maternity leave). I know soon I will be losing the baby weight (well I hope so) and so there is no point spending when in a few months they wont fit! But with a nail varnish there is no size restrictions... so why not?!?!
I think its time to share this obsession with you, each week I will do a review for you. This blog was never intended to be a beauty blog, but I feel that this is a place to share my loves so why the hell not hey?!?!
This weeks review is on a cheeky purchase I made today, Barry M's Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Pomegranate £3.99 and Barry M's Nail Paint in Rose Quartz Glitter £2.99.
Lets start with the the Gelly Hi-Shine, this new to Barry M and I have to say so far I'm very impressed. As you can gather from the name, this gives a high gloss finish like that of salon gel nails. The colour is quite opaque too, and would be fine with one coat (I did two... mainly out of habit). As I have only just popped it on today I am unsure on the longevity of the product, however I would imagine it will be just as good as their other nail paints. Another element I love to this product is that it dries super quick. Being a mummy this is a necessity if I want my nails to be looking there best! Overall I am very happy with this latest edition to my nail collection, and will happily purchase more from this line.
Ok, next is the Glitter polish. I have loads of Barry M's glitter polishes and this along with the others is amazing! Its a beautiful colour, one that I think I will wear alot for Autumn. It looks good with a thin layer, but can be built up for a more intense look.
What are your favourite nail varnishes???
