Old Friends, Food, Shopping And A Dip In The Pond

This weekend has been another lovely one. On Saturday we took a trip to Milton Keynes to meet our University friend Steph and her partner Alan. We hadn't seen each other in just over a year, and so we where both a tad bit excited. This was also her first meeting of Darcie.

She got Darcie a beautiful Gillette...

Too cute!

The whole day was wonderful, it was lovely to catch up and made me realise how much I have missed her!!! We also went to Jamie Oliver's Restaurant as me and Jamie had never been before I had  Pumpkin and Squash Gnudi (Fluffy English ricotta dumplings with Cropwell Bishop blue cheese, pears and walnuts)which honestly was sooooo good. It was a very long day and Darcie was very well behaved and made me one proud Mummy!

On Sunday, we went over to my Dad and Step Mums Sarahs as they needed Jamie's help clearing out a pond. Me and Darcie entertained their Dog Freddie...

Who is one week older than Darcie so he is very playful and extremely cute! Once Dad and Jamie had finished doing manly things (not so manly when you fall in the pond though is it Jamie??! hehehe) We decided to go to Southwold for Dinner. I love Southwold its one of my favourite places locally.

We went to our usual the Harbour Inn, where the food is amazing!!! Its quite a traditional seaside pub and is extremely popular

To start I had Fish Cakes with Sweet Chilli dip...

Then for mains I had a vegetarian Fish and Chips, consisting of haloumi in a coriander and chilli batter with mushy peas on the side.

Both dishes are not my usual, but both were beautiful and will be having them again on our next visit!

Here are some more pictures from the evening...

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend

Our Weekend - Plus Activity Bucket List Ticked!

This weekend has been a lovely one. On Saturday me, Darcie and my Mum went to Blackthorpe Barn to visit their Christmas Shop. Its utterly amazing and slightly magical. We have been once before and will be going again during this festive season. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to take any pictures (When I go again in a couple of weeks I will take some!) so here is one off of there website...

There shop is like Santa's Grotto, its beautiful. I made some little purchases..

I got some "snow" covered twigs to add to the fairy light ones I already had at a bargain price of £5!

A Christmas mobile, priced at £7.85 so sweet! And another close up pic...

I got another hanging ornament which was a steal at £4, its something which I will hang all year round...

And finally just some bits for Christmas wrapping...

Then it was Bonfire Night!!!! My favourite night of Autumn, and that's why this is the Activity Element of my Bucket List from Marie's Link up.

We went to our local display, and it was spectacular! I wasn't sure how Darcie was going to react but she loved them!

Lovely day had by all... even if it did effect my diet... think bacon rolls, chocolate cake, hot chocolate, mulled wine, and hog roast... oops...

Nail Polish Friday #3

Today's polish is Deborah Lippmann's Razzle Dazzle.
I LOVE this polish, it has to be one of my favourite all time polishes. I got this last year in one of the Glossy Boxes and is by far the best item I ever received from them. As soon as it has run out I will be purchasing the full price version which retails at around £14. Its a steep price, but its just perfect for the festive season.

Losing the Baby Weight

Well I have concluded its time to lose my baby weight. I feel like I am now ready for this now I'm all healed and have got to grips with Motherhood... And well there is no bloody excuses to be honest!!

Throughout my pregnancy I never really watched what I ate, obviously I avoided all the things you should. But I have to say I did pig out on a few occasions... ok maybe more than a few.

Anyway I never weighed myself whilst pregnant, my thinking was that I would weigh myself after I had given birth and then I could deal with whatever I had to deal with! But when arriving to be induced they weighed me and I had gone up to a whopping 13 1/2 stone!!!!!! That's what Jamie weighs A 6ft 4inch MAN! Embarrassing really.

I have never been a skinny girl, I'm not made that way. I have large hips and a double chin that refuses to budge even at my lightest stage of life. But its now time to do something about it.

I currently weigh about 12 stone give or take a few pounds (I don't have any scales at home, but will be purchasing some shortly), which makes me feel revolting! I want to get down to 10 stone (anymore would be amazing, but I haven't been under 10 stone since I was in High School)and really think I can do it this time!

I have downloaded an app called My Fitness Pal, its a calorie counting app. To be truthful I have had this app for around two years and have used it on and off. Its improved dramaticly and really think its such a vital app to anyone wanting to lose the weight, for example...

After you have entered in your food diary, it will tell you that if you where to continue like this for 5 weeks this is what you weight would be. And when I see this I think "I WANT to do this".

So there it is I have told the world (well those of you reading this) my weight and so now I'm committed to do something about it, I will try and update once a month to let you know my progress!

Autumn Bucket List - Make-Up

Its that time again to tick something off the old bucket list! This time its make-up I like to wear during Autumn.

Now I'm a Mummy I dont spend alot of time on make-up, but I still like to try and make an effort. Above is a pic of my everyday make-up.  Below is a pic of the products...

As you can see its a mixed bunch of products. It's mainly drug store as at the moment I can't really justify spending tons on higher end products, for example my all time favourite foundation is Nars Sheer Glow, but now I use Rimmel's Wake Me Up. I still have my Urban Decay Naked pallett which I LOVE but I have even found a cheaper version of that by MUA!

Im not going to run through the products, as this isnt a beauty blog, but one thing I am loving for Autumn is wine coloured lips. On the top pic I have dabbed some of Maybelline Super Stay 14 hour Lipstick in the colour Wine Forever to give a more subtle look. Here is a pic of it when I went out the other evening with it in full power!

I hate taking these kinds of pictures... I look so gormless!

Anyway check out Marie's Blog here.
