Tired

(Image)

Apologies for not blogging yesterday, I simply ran out of time!! Not enough hours in the day hey?

Anyway, please forgive and lets move forward...

So I'm tired, probably the main reason I didn't blog last night, so, so, so very tired. Darcie's asthma is seemingly at bay and so today its time to get back on the sleep training business!
Jamie had Darcie whilst I worked today, and managed to get her to go to sleep by herself in her cot and so fingers crossed I can do the same tonight. For me and Jamie need our sleep!

I will try and be persistent, hopefully illness wont interfere.. AGAIN! I just want my good sleeping baby back please...

.... Just thought I would update we tried cry it out again. I put her in her cot, and left her for 5 mins then we had a min cuddle, put her back and left her for 5 mins then we had a min cuddle, put her back and she feel asleep two minuets later... I think were getting somewhere!!!

Re-thinking Our Spare Bedroom

You may remember ages and ages ago I did a post on my plans for our spare bedroom, see that post here. However it never happened! And in a way I am  glad because over the last month or so I have been mulling over the functionality of upstairs and how I would like it to be.

Darcie's current room is the smallest of the bedrooms, originally I wanted the bigger of the spare rooms to be an office space/spare guest room. But now I'm thinking I would like to swap the two over! (Jamie will be rolling his eyes when he reads this... but read on it will make sense...)

My thinking is that when Darcie is older and in a big girls bed, which could be as early as Christmas if she keeps trying to escape, that room will offer her very little space to play. So swapping the two rooms over would offer her a lovely little area. Plus we would still be able to have an office and spare bed in her current room if I got creative with the space.

Now obviously this won't happen untill she is ready for that change, and that won't be for a long time... however the Pinterest freak that I'am, I have already created a board with lots of lovely ideas for that space...

I'm not so keen the wallpaper BUT I do love the idea of the fabric over the bed and the little table and chairs... So cute and very girly

I quite like this, I love the idea of grey and pink but perhaps it may be too "grown up", but I think it could work if done in the right way.

This bed is just too cute! I love everything about this the colour, the bunting and the head board! Love love love!

I Love this idea as a bed and with the added storage area... Fancy a DIY project Jamie??

This is again is another big LOVE, I adore everything about this

I have seen this alot on Pinterest and I would definitely like to do this for her growing collection of books.

Love this as storage

Look at the lighting and butterfly's of the wall, so so so cute!

So there we have it, that's what is buzzing around my mind at the moment. Silly really as this will not become reality for a while. But its nice to dream and plan, plus I want to see more of Darcie's personality to come through so her room can represent that too.

What are you currently dreaming up??

Giggly Girl

Darcie is currently napping so I thought I would quickly do today's post. I was looking through my phone when I saw the following video, I couldn't believe I had forgotten to post it on here!

And seeing as today all I have done is to try and cheer up a grumpy poorly little girl, and clear up masses of sick seeing this video cheered me up!

Please excuse my singing and choice of song... whenever she hears this she cracks up!

Let me know if you have trouble viewing this as I'm unsure of my settings...

I HATE This Weather

Normally I'am a Winter person. I Love the cold and snuggling up in the evening, brisk wintery walks and all the hype before Christmas. BUT this year I have seen Winter in a completely light, one filled with illness!

Poor Darcie B had another trip to the Doctors as in the morning she was coughing so much she made herself very sick, her breathing was also very laboured. So as she was supposed to be in nursery, and they don't take children when they have been sick I made the decision to stay at home with Darcie for the day, as Jamie had work also. She slept for three two hour periods so I knew she was poorly.

The Doctor saw her in the Afternoon and did a few tests mainly to check if anything was on her chest and luckily there wasn't. But he did say it sounded like her asthma was bad again, he timed her breathing which confirmed this. He said there wasn't a lot they could do, just keep it at bay with her inhaler. If she hasn't improved she has got to go back next week as there is a chance it could turn into a chest infection as she has a lot of mucus (lovely).

Sorry this is a day late, but Darcie has been super clingy whilst ill so have simply not had the time! fingers crossed today's post will go up on time!

Girls And Their Toys #1

Firstly just got to say "HELL YEAH" Darcie is asleep in her own cot and I didn't have to cuddle her to sleep! Whoooopy DOOOO!!!

Now to the post...

Today I'm going to share with you another one of Darcie's Christmas Presents that she really enjoys...

The Universe of Imagination Foam Building Blocks

Ok Ok Ok, so Darcie may not quite be old enough to play with these how there intended, but she really loves playing and exploring with the different coloured shapes. Plus because they are foam they are nice and safe.

The way we like to play with these is to build a tower and then Darcie cheekily knocks them down! (I think Jamie likes these more than Darcie at times!)

These are completely brilliant as a baby's first building blocks.

We purchased ours from Toys 'R' Us, £9.99 for 100 pieces! Not Bad.
