The Last Straw

You know when you reach that point, when you think "why do I even bother?", well, today I reached that point. Today really was the last straw. All week my anxiety has been at a high, no idea why, but it's been there eating away at me. Then this morning when I whipped my beautiful Canon EOS 600d to start a long overdue vlog (we took Darcie to do her first Park Run this morning and we were all excited to capture that moment), only to realise it was broken. I then just broke down. That's right, I cried, like my three year old daughter did over her beloved AppleJack pony that got a tear. My husband officially thought I had gone bonkers.

Tips Saving Money Cleaning your Bathroom

These day's I'm all about trying to save money. Having children is an expensive business, new clothes, shoes, hobbies, school trips, days out, they all add up. So finding ways to save money on my cleaning is a must! Distinctive Chesterfields recently did some research on cleaning and they found that 41% of people disliked cleaning the Bathroom. I'm definitely one of those 41%! Over the year's I have spent a fortune on products, trying to keep it looking spick and span, but, in reality there are a few things you can find around the home which will keep your bathroom looking its best, without breaking the bank.

Moments that Made Me Smile in March 2016

Family lifestyle uk

March has been a bittersweet month. I returned to work and although it wasn't actually as bad as I anticipated, the reality that I was back to being a full-time working mum is a reality that's hard to swallow at times. However, there have been so many moments that have put an humongous smile on my face and I wanted to jot them down so I can look at them whenever I'm feeling blue!

So here we go...

My Fussy Eater

Fussy Eater more vegtables

As much as I don't want to admit it, as much as I have tried my hardest to stop this from happening.  I am, however,  going to have to admit defeat. I have a fussy eater

Darcie had always been a good eater. She loved her food from an early age and would pretty much devour anything that was put in front of her. I often felt sorry for other mum's when I heard of their battles to get their young children to eat their food, some of which resulted in cooking them separate meals to pander to their wants. But my Darcie would always eat what we ate and even now, cooking her a separate meal just seems so ridiculous to me.

Our Easter Weekend

Bank Holiday Monday, true to form is wet and horrible! So we're currently snuggled up watching Fantastic Mr Fox and I thought I would update you on what we've been up too over Easter.

On Good Friday we headed to Winchester to visit Jamie's brother & wife. They will be soon jetting off across the pond to set up home in Californa, so we're grabbing every opportunity we can to spend time with them. We will miss them dearly, Darcie is especially besotted with her Aunt & Uncle. Luckily the weather was beautiful, we had a lovely walk around Winchester, which has some very pretty spots. We then took advantage of the warmer sunnier weather and had lunch in a beer garden. It's safe to say this weekend we've been particularly naughty when it comes to food! But hey, it's Easter!

Spending time with Family, to me, is what Easter is all about. One of my favourite pictures taken from this weekend was one of Darcie and her Uncle, who spent some time singing their little hearts out on the guitars. Too cute. On the way home from Winchester, we stopped off for Dinner with Jamie's parents. Again, so much good food was had!

Planning the Perfect Easter Weekend

Even though Easter is early this year and the weather is slightly questionable at the moment, I'm very much looking forward to our Easter Weekend. So what makes the perfect Easter Weekend? Well for me, it's family. Spending time with the ones you love. We live in a hectic world and our family is very much a hectic one too. I'm now back at work, running a blog/business my Husband has a very full on and important career and we have two wonderful children too. Making sure we get the balance right is so important to us, so when holidays like Easter comes along, we always try and make the most of this special family time.

So here are a few things we have lined up to make the perfect Easter Weekend.

The Remote Mummy Survival Guide

(image) Blake Bronstad
Finding sticky fingered dummies in your handbag is a common occurrence as a mummy, and try as we might to make our handbags our own they soon become taken over by the plethora of stuff that these mini human beings seem to collate.

But to save yourself from getting a little ‘What’s in my Bag’ envy from the many lifestyle bloggers who only have to carry around the latest YSL Lipstick and a Contouring Kit, you can get back a little bit more of your own space – even if it is in handbag form- with a few of these handy hints to keep venturing out as a mum as glamorous as possible.
