Things you should consider when buying a family car

If you’re a car fanatic buying a car might come as a straight forward choice but when you’re buying a car to suit the needs of your family, it’s not just as straight forward as picking out your favourite car - there’s much more that you should perhaps consider.

Living Arrows April

I haven’t written a ‘Living Arrows” post for a very long time but given the nature of the current climate, taking stock and reflecting is something we’re all probably doing a lot of right now. The Living Arrows link up is the perfect way to share your reflections, special pictures and generally feel good.

If you haven’t joined in with Living Arrows before it’s is about celebrating childhood. The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday we share a moment from our week and invite others to do the same as part of this linky.

This week I wanted to share a few photos from our bike ride this week. I say bike ride, the kids rode their bikes and we walked as we currently don’t have bikes!! I chose this because getting outside for a walk or, in their case, a bike ride is my favourite part of my day. Being able to still get outside to do some form of exercise from our home is totally what is keeping me going through this “lockdown”. Sometimes I will just get up before everyone else and me and the dog will go for a walk around our local golf course - it’s so peaceful.

Our bike ride is also from our local golf course, you’re allowed to walk their as it’s apart of a local common - it makes for the perfect bike track and of course, during all of this, no is playing golf. Darcie, who is seven, has always been really nervous on a bike. Last year she had cracked it but wasn’t overly confident now she (along with her 4 year old brother - who has no fear!) are zooming around everywhere and it really warms your cockles seeing them race along and giggling to each other.

How to make your small business more environmentally friendly

Global warming is on everyone’s mind at the moment, and it is a big concern for businesses big and small. For small business owners, there are some simple steps that will make you more eco-friendly. In turn, this will help to keep your employees and customers happy. Some businesses give environmental responsibility to one member of staff and let them take the lead, taking the pressure away from you. If you need to find new staff and are want individuals with experience of working to protect the environment, then you should consider using a staffing agency, as they can tailor employee searches to your needs.

How Much Is A Class Action Lawsuit Worth?

The two most frequently asked questions relating to class action lawsuits is how much are they worth? Or how to join a class action lawsuit?

The answer to the first one is pretty easy as you have to do very little, if anything, to join a class action lawsuit. Most of these are known as opt-outs, meaning that any class member whose legal interests are being represented by the lawsuit are automatically included but they can opt out if they wish. In other words, they can choose whether to participate or not, it's entirely up to them. So, how much is a class action lawsuit worth? That is a lot more complex as you can see below.

Free Printable's & Resources for Home Education

This is the first post I have written since we’ve entered these strange times and it has really taken its grip on the lives of the people of the UK. As both my husband and I are classed as key workers we have been extremely busy and the blog has had to take a backseat and probably will throughout this. This last week has truly been horrid. Saying goodbye to my students, not knowing when I would be seeing them was hard. Delivering food to those who are vulnerable, even harder. Something else that has been playing on my own mind, and selfishly so, is the fact that my husband is a type one diabetic, at risk. But he is still required to do his role. Front line. It feels like we’re being sent to war and I’m completely terrified of the end result. That being said, we all have our roles and as a Teacher I thought I would share with you free printable’s and resources that might come in handy if you’re having to home school your children.
