Catching Up with Friends

Jamie was working today and so it was an ideal opportunity to catch up with a couple of my friends :)

Chloe along with her three beautiful children, Jazzy, Izzy and Niall and also Lou popped round for a full blown playdate/photoshoot!

Here is a couple of my favourites (hope you don't mind girls...)

These are some of my favourite people they all put such big smiles on my face!! Plus Chloe and Lou are very important to Darcie as they will be her God Mothers when the time comes to have her Christened.

Day Out In Bury St Edmunds

So today we decided to take a trip to Bury St Edmunds, mainly to have a wonder and do some window shopping (which actually turned into shopping).

Little D was in such a happy mood in the morning I took some piccys of her and her Daddy...

Once we had done taking piccys, off we went...

We parked near Abbey Gardens and spotted lots of friendly Squirrels, which Darcie loved!

Then we did what I do best... Shop! Bury is such a lovely place to go, it has your usual shops but it also has some nice individual shops too.

We didn't get too much, just some thing's we needed like a Hair Brush for Darcie a lead for our car to plug our music in etc... Also Jamie made a sneaky purchase too... but that wont be reviled just yet!

I didn't take too many piccy's as it was a lovely day with just us! Darcie was so good all day however towards the end of the day she started to get a little it grumpy... it wasn't until we got home I realised why....

Happy Days

Sleep Training Re-visited

So as I have mentioned we went back over sleep training and this time we tried the "crying it out" method. Despite me saying I would never use it, I have well and truly eaten my words and to be honest We needed to do this.

It worked so well, I am so so pleased. This week has been the first week that we have managed to have full nights sleep and with our bed to ourselves!

We did the method like this...

5 mins to cry and then go in and settle.

Leave for another 5 mins and then go and settle.

By the third go she had gone to sleep! It has taken a couple of days of this and now I think she has well and truly sussed it! In the morning its all smiles and giggles, I have even had a couple of lay-ins too!

So lesson learnt, don't knock a method until you have tried it!!

Tesco Clubcard points at Pizza Express!

We hardly ever shop at Tesco so I was pleasantly surprised when we received £10.50 worth of points! Even more surprised when I learnt that £10 was worth £40 at Pizza Express! (I know I'm a little late on the band wagon!)

So tonight we went out with my Dad and Step Mum, Sarah for a lovely meal! As usual Darcie was as good as gold and the food was as good as always!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend

Darcie Is Eight Months Old Today

In four months time my little one will be one...

Oh my day's time really does goes by so quickly when you have children.

So Darcie is eight months old, and my goodness she has learnt so much in her little life! Here are some key updates that she has learnt over the last month or so...

* Crawl backwards *

*Walk when holding your hands*

*Pulling herself up on everything*

*How to get off the sofa... Naughty little madame*

* Claps*

*Wave at appropriate times*

*Can say Bubba*

*Has said Dadda a couple of times*

Its very strange how quickly she has learnt all of the above! It amazes me their whole learning process, Darcie likes to watch and analyse other people/babies and then has ago herself, she is a very strong independent little lady... a little too independent at times hehehe!

She is turning into such a lovely little person, and its such a joy to see.

Today watching the snow

Love you Little D
