Why Do I Blog?

I have loved reading blogs for around three years now, I read beauty, fashion, lifestyle, food, organisation, home decor and mummy blogs on a regular basis. Anyone that reads blogs will probably get why blogging is a nice thing to do.

However, I still get quite a lot of people ask me why I blog, why share my life with the world?

My take on it is that we live in a very open world with social media enabling us to literally share our every move. So why not do it on this platform???

I am a social media whore. I Facebook, Tweet, Instagram, BabyBump and I love it! Its an addiction and one I'm trying to tame!

So, I created this blog to share little snipets of our life and our journey through parenthood. But doing this on this platform allows me to share this with people who actually want to read this stuff, without trying to ram it down people's throats on facebook (even though I kinda do and people generally moan at me for posting too much... But hey addictions don't stop over night! *winks*).

However other than the fact I actually enjoy writing and creating the posts, this particular blog is something I hope to enventually share with Little d. To share with her my thoughts whilst pregnant (my honest thoughts), how she came into the world (perhaps it will be a good form of contraception for her and scar her for life!), and show her, her milestones and days out we had, what her favourite toys where etc.  I could go on for ages about all the wonderful things this blog can do, but the main thing is the way in which it keeps our memories. I plan to each yeah get the significant posts printed in book form and I'm currently researching companies that can offer this.

I'm not sure what else to say on this subject. But I really do just love blogging.

If you are a blogger too, what are your reasons? Why do you enjoy it?

Fashion Sunday!

So today is a quick post showing you the goodies we got yesterday at Saffron Waldon. We will start at the top with her gorgeous clip...

Her cute clip is from Monsoon in their children's range, its utterly gorgeous and in the shape of a rabbit, perfect for spring! it came with two clips like the one shown and also matching hair bands, all for the total price of £4!

Moving on to her outfit... Her Dress with matching knickers was from Joules and was £23.95 and also the cardigan was from Joules too priced £24.95. The tights, I'm not so sure as they were a gift at Christmas. The outfit was a bit of a splurge and I feel like I'm going to have to justify this purchase (got some backlash for my recent haul - wtf?), and there is a bit of a story behind this outfit too.

Last weekend Jamie went to Saffron Waldon and he came across this wonderful outfit, he rang me to tell me how much he loved it but he was worried because it was a bit pricey. I said it was up to him, so he left it. All week he kept talking about this outfit and how he regretted getting it, so when we decided to go back there yesterday this was one of our first stops. I fell in love too and we agreed we just had to have it!!

We have got a couple of things from Joules before, and I have always been impressed with the quality, also they seemed to last a really long time. I got this in the next size up so it would see her through till the Summer.

Enjoy your Sunday, we will shortly be off for a Sunday roast at Jamie's Parents, yummy.

Saturday Fun - Instagram Documentation!

So today we took a trip to Saffron Walden to see Jamie's brother Jason.

We set off at about eight thirty'ish it would take about 90mins so did'nt want to leave too late and we had bits and bobs to do in the afternoon...

Had a cheeky Maccy D's...

And then arrived in Saffron Walden, it is a lovely little town with  lots of individual shops to have a mooch around, but first stop was StarBucks!

I had my usual Chai Latte, we had a good old catch up and Darcie showed off her walking skills too!

Back on the mooch, we wandered to a shop called Beauty Bump and Baby it was Heaven! They sold such beautiful things, I will link there site HERE and there Facebook page HERE please go check them out as there service was amazing too!!

After another wander we decided to head to a pub for a cold beverage (Non alcoholic!)

Darcie sat with her Uncle Jason, where they decided to make some "beautiful" music banging the table :)

Unfortunatly it was soon time to come home, we had such a lovely day we will definitely be going back soon... especially to make more cheeky purchases at that gorgeous shop!!

Once home I looked through our beautys we had baught today, I got Darcie some hair bands whilst we were out too as I thought soon i would be able to attempt to put her hair up... so I had a go and......

LOOK AT MY BEAUTY!!!!!!! This is such a beautiful picture, it captured such a lovely moment!

Here is a sneak peek of our buys... tomorrow I will go into more detail as Darcie will be wearing these items...

Hope you all had a wonderful Saturday and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Relax It's Friday

I love to indulge in a relaxing pamper session, but unfortunately I don't get to do this very often! But after having my two lovely friends over Bec and Hayley and chatting away about books made me think, right I need an early night, which has turned into a very basic relaxing routine before diving into a good book!

So to start my pampering I had a looong bath. I love a good bath, I instantly relax! I didn't use any fancy bath products tonight, just good old Radox, whilst in the bath I caught up on 90210 (Jamie finds this an odd thing to do in the bath, but I love it!), exfoliated using Soap & Glory's "Flake Away", I also did a lush face mask using their "Fab Pore" mask (my favourite). To finish up after the bath I use Soap & Glory's "Righteous Butter" all over to moisturise and on the face I used Green People's Day Solution Hydrating Balancing Day Cream (I know, I know I should use there night cream, and I do but I have run out!!).

Once all nice and clean I decided to do my nails and first of all I needed to remove my old varnish, I was wearing Rimmels Cocktail Colour in Punch which is utterly amazing which I may do a whole post on because its that amazing!! BUT I fancied something more subtle...

So to remove I used Bourjois Dissolvant remover, has been my favourite for well over a year, so easy and hassle free...

Then I followed up with Soap & Glory's Hand Food, my hands have been so dry and this stuff always sorts them out!

Time to paint and tonight I used Maxfactor Max Effect in Bronze, which is gorgeous! I did have to do four coats though to get a more opaque colour.

Nails done, time to head up to bed (which is where I'am now... sooo comfy!)

Time to get comfy and read, currently I am reading the Hunger Games!

Once this has posted, I will be engrossed in my book and then I will put my head down for an early night as we have a busy day tomorrow.

 What's your quick pamper routine??

New Blog Design

As you can see I have been fiddling with the design on my blog, a new header too!

Not too sure how I'm feeling about it so I may employ a designer or have a look for a premade one on etsy, if anybody knows of a good blog designer or are a designer themselves please contact me!!!

My old design was bugging me for a while, especially the header. I wanted something more clean and simple.

Like I said its still not exactly how I would like it, but it will do for now!

Im Out In Civilisation!! Take that Plague!

"So I have almost completely battled the plague, all that's left is the silly cough and slight wheeze which Mummy says should go if I keep using my inhaler (I'm sure the doctor said that but you know, whatever mum). But as I have been bound to the house for a week I made Mummy and Daddy take me out today! We went to lots of different places and was lots of fun! First stop was Waitrose where me and Mummy had a snack and Mummy had a latte... she is naughty!"

"It was lots of fun chatting to lots of people that came and said hello, everyone is so friendly!"

"After that little treat we continued onto our adventure... To Daddy's old house where my Nanny, Grandad and Uncle Bradley live!"

"I had lots of lovely cuddles with Nanny, she even gave me a lovely new book!!"

"Theeeeeeen... after our visit we stopped off at Swallow Aquatics, to have a look at the fish and animals, Mummy and Daddy used to go all the time on a Sunday when they had no money and were bored!!"

 "Woah there big fish!!!"

"We had lots of fun looking at the fishys but my favourite part was seeing the birdys, so many with different colours... I think if Mummy and Daddy could speak my language (come on guys, your sooo behind!) they would of realised I would of liked to take one home...."

"Before going home we popped into town, Mummy and Daddy had another coffee and they say I keep them up all night!!"

"When we got home it was almost tea time, we had such a lovely day and I'm so glad Mummy didn't make me stay in for another day!"
