Happy Easter

Happy Easter All!!

We are having such a lovely weekend, and today has been no different! Our day started off early(ish) with a yummy Easter breakfast, and gifts for Darcie. I don't normally "do" Easter but thought this is something I would like to do now we have Darcie. I'm not completely religious but one day  I will teach her the true meaning of Easter, but for now its all about bunnies and treats and good old family time!

In Darcie's goodie bag held paints and a toy remote. Darcie is obsessed with the sky remote and so I think this was a pretty good gift... and was seemingly a hit!

Both me and Jamie (and Darcie) enjoyed this family breakfast. Normally breakfast is a mad dash and so it was really lovely to sit down and enjoy breakfast together, something which we both we would like to continue every Sunday when Jamie isn't at work.

After breakfast we got ready and headed out to Jamie's Grandparents.

We had a lovely morning catching up with Jamie's Grandparents, but before long it was time to head to Jamie's parents for a good hearty roast dinner!!

And it was yummy!!

On the way back home we popped into my Mums for tea and cake, and the Easter Bunny had visited and got Darcie this very lovely toy...

I think she was rather pleased!!

How did you spend your weekend?

Feels like spring.... despite the snow...

So our day started off like this....

Crazy snow blizzards! Thankfully it didn't last neither did it settle!!!

Me and Darcie spent the day with Grandad and Nana (dad and step mum) and we went to a Antique Fare in Norwich, it was bitterly cold but buy the end of the day I felt like spring was here and this is because of this...

I was on a mission to find jug exactly like this, and so was over the moon when my dad picked this up for me!! So now its sat on our dining room table full of gorgeous flowers, and now I can feel like spring is here... As long as I don't step outside brrrr!!

My Life through Instagram

I'm such a massive fan of Instagram, one of the things that I originally loved about Facebook was the ability to be easily able to share photo's with loved ones. However over the last year I have found Facebook highly irratiting, with the amount of crap that is posted on there, not people's updates but all the other crap... you know the posts... "Share if you care" bollocks! So Instagram has been a new safe haven!

Here are a few snaps from Instagram of my life of late...

If your a fellow Instagramer, follow me HERE to share the fun :)

Oh How I Miss...

Maternity Leave.

Being on holiday always makes me miss maternity leave! More so because I didn't get the amount of time off work which I would of originally liked. Spending lots of time time with my little family is how I want to fill all my days...

BUT luckily I am in a position where I can enjoy all the school holidays. So I am going to shut up moaning...

Goodies from Nanna and Grandad

I pondered a lot today about what I could blog about and seeing my Dad and Step Mum today with these treats gave me something to blog about! (This blogging everyday can be tricky!)

They went off to Brighton for the weekend and visited Baby Gap (I don't think that was there main reason for the trip....!) and got Darcie this very cute outfit. I think this is a perfect spring outfit and hopefully the weather will soon start to be spring like too!

So from Darcie "Thank You Nanna and Grandad"!

Darcie's Birthday Ideas - Cake

Another snippet on ideas for first birthdays in the form of.... CAKE!!

Obviously the cake will depend on a theme, but I have thrown together a couple of lovely ideas that have inspired me..

This one it soo cute, I love the bunting around the top half of the cake! Its quite simple too, and something that I perhaps would be brave enough to try.

This one fits in nicely from one of the themes from last week, see that post HERE.

How cool is this?!?! Totally what to have a go at this!! I love the rainbow cakes, but this could work with any theme you would just have to alter the colours.

I love icing, so this appeals... yummy yummy!

What have you seen that inspires you?

A Mini Milestone

So this week has been a week of mini milestones. At the beginning of the week she completely mastered crawling! I really thought she would just skip this out as she is so close to walking. Today we went to buy Darcie her first pair of proper shoes from Clark's, and then this evening she took her first two independent steps!! What a clever little munchkin!!

Anyway back to the shoes...

As I said these were from Clark's, and I know she is not even 10 months yet but with her almost walking I felt it was time to get some shoes that could offer some support. We did the full experience which included having a keepsake photo done, which was rather sweet!

I did like this "experience" it was quite nice to be able to do something special to mark this mini step, and for £24 it is expensive but I personally think its better to spend that little bit extra and get the quality and comfort, at this young age.

Love you Darcie B

Looking forward

So normally on a Thursday I tend to do a "throw back Thursday" but today, instead of looking in the past, I'm looking to the future. In particular our wedding day :)

I can not wait for our day, but for now I'm going enjoy planning the day.

Spring Look

I am desperate for some warmer weather, if I hear one more weather report saying "with chances of snow", I may just have to throw the nearest thing to hand at my TV.

So to calm myself I have been browsing and using wantworthy.com to create a wish list and amongst my internet browsing I have created this look...

Still included a coat, for I am a realist...!

If you would like to see all of the above and more, including all the links and prices head over to my Went Worthy page NOW

Organising my life!!!

I'm in some desperate need of organisation, life at the moment has gotten a bit too hectic and feel there hasn't been a very good balance. I think the key for me is to get organised.

I always have FAB ideas, dream big and make plans, in reality these never seem to come to anything. I think half of my problem is lack of organisation...

So when browsing ebay looking for a new scheduler, I found this...

Awww pretty!!!

I'm in love with this, I really hope it's as pretty as the pictures and more importantly helpful in organising my life!

This journal is by a brand called Kawaii Journal and is available from HERE. Please go check it out!

I will update on my thoughts :)
How do you like to stay organised?

Monday Blurgh

I do detest Monday's.

I haven't even had a bad one, but Monday's always make me feel so blurgh... That's the only way I can describe it! (I'm so not good with words!!)

Anyway to take the blurgh away I'm going to indulge in some reading... In the form of the latest Next Catalogue and the latest Ideal Homes magazine...

What do you do to cure the Monday blurghs???

Darcie's Birthday Ideas - Themes

`With Darcie's Birthday looming I though I would make a start on my weekly post leading up to the big day..

This weeks theme is well Themes!

I'm still not quite sure on a theme or even if we will have one, but I have seen some gorgeous ideas that have certainly inspired me.

"Balloon" Theme

This could be perfect for either boy or girl and is one of my favourite themes. I love the decorations and the cupcakes! I think Jamie quite likes this one too.

"Bee" Theme

As I call Darcie, Darcie B this would be quite fitting. However I don't really like yellow... But the idea is so cute, you could do so much to keep within the theme! I LOVE the cake shown!!

"Shabby, Girly, Pastel" Theme

This is so lovely, utterly girly and right up my street! This would be a very easy theme to do, with this trend very much "in" at the moment. I love the bunting and the paper pom poms which are hanging.

"Cute as a Button" Theme

I have seen some wonderful things on Pinterest and Etsy that will go beautifully with this theme. Think its perfect for a little girls first birthday!!

Minnie Mouse Theme

Darcie would go mad for a Minnie Mouse themed party... she is a Minnie Mouse geek with her collection of toys! However I do feel this would be better for when she is a little bit older and would be able to fully appreciate all the Minnie amazingness!

That's my small selection of a little girls first birthday themes, all of which I love and partly why I haven't made a decision  on a theme! All links are available on my Pinterest page which is HERE

What's your favourite???

Sleepy Saturday

I have had such a lovely Saturday spending some time catching up with my friends, but one of my highlights today has been this moment....

My baby was busy playing away when all of a sudden I realised it had all gone very quite. She had fallen asleep in the middle of the living room! Bless her little cotton socks!

Mother's Day And An Exciting Announcement!!

So this Mother's Day was my first, and oh my goodness I don't think this one could be topped...

So my day started bright and early as Jamie had told me we were going back to Kent (where we went to University and lived for three years) for the day.

First stop was Broadstairs. The weather was not brilliant, but I love Broadstairs whatever the weather and a nice brisk walk along the front and cups of tea suits me perfectly!

Sorry the pics are not that good quality, I took my Cannon then stupidly forgot to bring the memory card for it... doh! So the phone had to do...

After a stroll, we went into a local pub which had changed loads since we lived there! Much nicer!!

A trip to the seaside wouldn't be complete without a visit to the amusements!

After a lovely morning in Broadstairs we headed to Canterbury to look round the shops and the Cathedral (where we graduated from University). I love Canterbury it is so pretty, filled with history.

When we got to the Cathedral Jamie got very giggly. I knew what was coming and Jamie became very very nervous. We found the gardens, where we had many pictures taken at our graduation and Jamie got down on one knee...

It was truly magical.

The best Mother's day present ever, making our little family more complete.

Hope all the Mummy's out there had a wonderful day, also happy Mothers day to my Mummy, who as I write this is browsing online at Mother of the Bride Outfits!
