My 7 Month Old at Nursery

It's currently just gone 2:30, I've finished my first day back at work after the Easter Holidays and I'm patiently waiting to go and pick my two little munchkins up at 5pm. It's Henry's first full day at nursery and I'm anxious to see how he handled the day. We decided to keep them at Nursery till 5pm because that is Darcie's normal hours, so it seemed pointless changing it. Plus it gives me a little time to do any work that needs doing at home or for the blog, yet all I'm doing is clock watching and resisting the urge to hop in the car and pick them up early.

New Build Headaches

Living in new build houses, has caused us some headaches over the years. From burst water pipes, a leaky shower, blocked drains and poor use of space. All of which has made me feel like I would never want to buy a new build again.

When buying our home, we certainly got swept away with the dreamy side of owning your own home. We loved picking out our kitchen and bathrooms, planning what was going to go were - we didn't really think about the realities of living in a new build. Those realities are, no storage space, small rooms, walls that are paper thin and very little outside space. It may all seem doom and gloom, I still love our little home, but I can get frustrated from time to time.

Henry at 7 Months Old

Another month has been and gone and my little boy is now 7 months old. This month he's seemingly transformed right in front of my eyes into this very mischievous little dude. He is now very mobile and get where ever he wants by doing a weird little shuffle crawl which I've dubbed "The Worm". Whilst I know this is such a major milestone a little part of me want's him to stay little forever. I think that's fairly normal with your "last" child. Plus, he now want's to get into absolutely everything including, shelves, drawers and chomping on wires. Some serious baby proofing needs to take place in our house!

My Birth Stories - C-Section Awareness Month

As I mentioned in my "Enhanced Recovery After an Elective C-section" post, April is C-section awareness month. I decided to retell my birth stories of both Darcie & Henry over on my YouTube channel in order to spread awareness about c-sections and to wash away the stigma that it's the "easy option".

Let's Talk About Sleep

Channel Mum's latest debate is all about controlled crying. In the last (almost) four years we've had many sleepless nights, so much so we've tried all sorts to help get them off to sleep. Take a look at my latest video one what we've done over the years to get a good nights sleep and my thought's on controlled crying.

Have your little one's had troubles sleeping? What are your thoughts on controlled crying?

My (Relaxing) Morning Routine

Since becoming a mum of two, the morning's have become somewhat hectic - especially when I'm working. It's a mad dash to get everyone ready, make sure Henry's had a good feed before I leave for work, make sure I have all my pumping equipment and of course make sure I'm ready for work too. Preparation is obviously key, but on day's when I'm not working our morning's are lovely and relaxed (yes there is such a thing!).

So what do I do on these relaxing mornings?

What I've Been Loving Lately (March)

I'm still in shock it's April already. 2016 needs to slow down. I thought I would do a "What I've been loving lately" post as I haven't done one in a while. Personally, I love reading these post's so thought you may do too! Let's jump in.

Encouraging the older generation to get online

To me, life would seem strange without the aid of the Internet. No daily social interaction with friends who do not live close by, no quick "oh I'll just google that" moments, in fact when I think about how much I use the Internet for different aspects of my life, the thought of not being able to use it terrifies me slightly! Some people may think that is slightly odd, but I'm pro technology and social media and think it's such a fantastic thing (if used correctly!).
